Reason for Boycott
Although Tesa, a global giant in consumer and industrial tapes, achieved an independent corporate structure (tesa AG) in 2001 and adopted the title "tesa SE" in 2009, in financial reality it remains a 100% wholly-owned subsidiary of the German holding giant Beiersdorf AG. The primary factor locking the brand into your platform's red list (Strict Boycott) is the highly robust and direct commercial integration established with the State of Israel by Beiersdorf AG, the sole destination of tesa SE's profits. Beiersdorf AG did not remain a mere external supplier in the Israeli market; in 2019, it partnered with the local Israeli firm Alpa Cosmetics to officially establish a Joint Venture named "Alpa-BDF". Through this strategic move, the German multinational essentially formed a legal corporate entity directly on Israeli soil, physically anchoring itself to the regime's economy. Furthermore, examining the B2B (industrial) dimension, Tesa tapes actively provide organic logistical support to Israeli industries through numerous electronics and industrial suppliers within the occupied territories, such as "Farnell Israel". Every cent of net profit generated from the brand's global retail sales flows directly into Beiersdorf AG's central treasury. Beiersdorf utilizes this capital pool to sustain its official joint venture (Alpa-BDF) in Israel, thereby paying both employment and direct commercial corporate taxes to the occupation regime. Combined with the presence of global risk funds like Vanguard in the parent company's stock structure, the brand must be unequivocally boycotted.
