East Turkestan (Xinjiang) Complicity: Examining the human rights dimension, the parallel platform "Douyin" run by parent company ByteDance in China is used by security forces in Xinjiang (East Turkestan) as a tool for assimilation and police surveillance, according to Australian Strategic Policy Institute (ASPI) reports and UK Parliament records.
