Reason for Boycott
No verified evidence was found showing that QCY or its parent company Hele Electronics directly supplies weapons, surveillance systems, military technology or logistical support to the Israeli military, illegal settlements or oppressive structures operating in Palestine, Kashmir, Arakan, Syria, Yemen or Sudan. Israel is not included in QCY’s published European delivery list, and no official Israel-specific QCY website or verified exclusive Israeli distributor was identified. Dongguan Hele Electronics was not found on the reviewed US UFLPA Entity List, and no reliable company-specific investigation was identified proving that QCY directly benefits from forced labor in East Turkestan. The currently verified evidence therefore does not justify classifying QCY as Strict Boycott. However, QCY’s manufacturing operations and principal electronics supply chain are based in China. The company does not publicly disclose the suppliers of its chips, battery cells, circuit boards, lithium, cobalt or other critical inputs, nor does it publish an independently verified human-rights or forced-labor due-diligence report. Documented state-imposed transfers of Uyghur workers to factories outside Xinjiang mean that manufacturing outside the region does not automatically eliminate forced-labor exposure. The QCY application may also process extensive personal information, including account details, device identifiers, location, health, sleep, exercise and GPS-route data through Hele Electronics. The absence of proven direct complicity is positive, but insufficient supply-chain transparency, unclear beneficial ownership and extensive data processing prevent QCY from qualifying as a fully clean alternative. QCY should therefore be classified as Conscience-Based / Discretionary.
