Reason for Boycott
Lumberjack is currently a Türkiye-controlled brand directly owned by FLO Group and does not appear to operate under a foreign trademark licence requiring royalty payments to an external global brand owner. No verified evidence was found showing that Lumberjack or FLO supplies weapons, technology or direct logistical assistance to the Israeli military, illegal settlements or oppressive structures operating in Palestine, East Turkestan, Kashmir, Arakan, Syria, Yemen or Sudan. No verified operation in occupied territories or sponsorship supporting crimes against humanity was identified. Although Lumberjack products have previously been listed by an Israeli retailer, the reviewed listings were out of stock and an official Israeli distributorship could not be verified. FLO also publishes human-rights policies, supplier codes of conduct and sustainability reports. Lumberjack therefore does not meet the criteria for Strict Boycott. However, Lumberjack’s owner FLO is not exclusively an independent manufacturer of its own local brands. FLO and In Street provide retail distribution and commercial market access to numerous global brands, while FLO holds regional licensing or production rights for foreign trademarks including Reebok, Nine West, Lotto, U.S. Polo Assn. and Dockers by Gerli. This does not make Lumberjack a direct perpetrator, but revenue generated by Lumberjack enters the same corporate ecosystem that commercially supports foreign licensing networks and disputed global brands. It also cannot be verified that every Lumberjack product is manufactured in Türkiye, while FLO acknowledges design operations in both Italy and China. FLO’s multi-brand licensing model and its “local capital, compromised shelves” retail structure justify classifying Lumberjack as Conscience-Based / Discretionary rather than as a fully independent clean alternative.
