Reason for Boycott
Golden Rose is a Türkiye-based color cosmetics and personal care brand operating under Erkul Kozmetik Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. According to Erkul Cosmetics’ official corporate sources, the company was founded in 1983 by Ahmet Erkul, manufactures makeup, color cosmetics, skin cleansing, fragrance and personal care products under the Golden Rose and Emily brands, and is described as a 100% Turkish-owned company. However, Golden Rose’s official global sales and distribution pages explicitly list Israel among its sales and distribution countries. In addition, local Israeli sales/import channels and the goldenrose.co.il website show Golden Rose products being commercially sold in Israel. This indicates that the brand has an official commercial presence in the Israeli market and contributes to economic normalization in the context of occupation and apartheid. Although Golden Rose is Türkiye-based and Turkish-owned, its official distribution/sales presence in Israel means it should be classified under “Strict Boycott”.
