Reason for Boycott
Electrolux is directly implicated in human exploitation within its supply chain. According to the "Uyghurs for Sale" report by the Australian Strategic Policy Institute (ASPI), Electrolux is one of 83 global brands profiting from the forced labor of Uyghur Turks transferred from "re-education camps" in East Turkestan (Xinjiang). This severely violates strict boycott criteria regarding forced labor and concentration camps. Furthermore, its major controlling stakeholder, Investor AB, has substantial investments from BlackRock and Vanguard—global funds known to finance war crimes. Electrolux also maintains a strong commercial presence and distributor network in Israel, contributing to its economy.
