Reason for Boycott
The historic US-based Conklin brand was acquired in 2000 by Yafa Brands (Yafa Pen Company), founded by Yair "Jerry" Greenberg, and is now fully owned by them. What places the brand on the red list is not a mere commercial contradiction, but the direct use of its production line to glorify the founding ideology and state propaganda of Israel. To celebrate the 75th anniversary of the declaration of the State of Israel, Conklin designed the "Conklin Israel 75 Anniversary Diamond Jubilee" series, specifically producing exactly 1948 pieces (Limited Edition) in reference to the year the Zionist regime was established. The pen's body is crafted from blue and white resin representing the Israeli flag, and features the word "Israel," the Star of David, the Western Wailing Wall (Kotel), and ideological manifestos from Theodor Herzl. Additionally, a special "Blue Diamond" ink inspired explicitly by the Israeli flag was released alongside the collection. Under the capital of Yafa Brands, Conklin has ceased to be merely a commercial stationery manufacturer; it has transformed into an ideological tool that blesses, markets, and profits from the 1948 establishment of the Israeli regime (which marks the Nakba for Palestinians). Due to this direct political alignment, the brand is on the strict boycott list.
